Lent

Hello to everyone out there!

The great season of Lent has begun in our Church, and here at St. Ignatius Martyr we were happy to welcome LARGE crowds of people at all of our Masses and the Service of the Word with ashes yesterday. I think it shows that we all know that we need to be reconcilied with God and with one another, and that we hunger for a greater relationship with our God. May our Lenten practices of fasting, almsgiving and prayer help our efforts to "Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel".

Please join us if you can for our parish Lenten Mission which will be held this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. Pastoral team members as well as other leaders in the parish will offer reflections on the Gospel stories of "The Woman at the Well", "The Man Born Blind", and "The Raising of Lazarus". We will begin each night with a reflection in English, after which there will be a bi-lingual prayer service, and then a reflection in Spanish. Please pray for the success of our efforts.

God bless you!
Fr. Bill
